Fox Auctions is an online auction platform where sellers can offer lots and buyers can place bids to acquire those lots.

Anyone with a valid account can offer lots and place bids, as long as they agree to the terms of use and auction rules.

Click “Register” or “Create account,” fill in the required details (name, address, email, etc.), confirm your email address using the link you receive, and log in. You can register as a private individual or as a company. After registering, you can start bidding right away.

Yes. You can create either a private or a business account.

Note: If you choose “company” and enter a foreign VAT number, that number will first be checked before the account becomes active. In that case, please contact us for support.

In some cases, additional verification may be required, for example for higher bids. This can include a copy of an ID document, proof of address, or other documents.

For buyers - bidders

    1. Click “Bid” on the desired lot.

    2. Enter the amount (at least the previous bid + bid increment).

    3. Confirm your bid.

    4. Some auctions also offer automatic bidding or maximum bid functionality.

Yes. Each lot has a starting bid and a minimum bid increment.

In most cases, no. Bids are final. In exceptional cases (for example, typing mistakes), you can contact support, but cancellation is not guaranteed.

  • You receive a confirmation message.

  • You must pay within the agreed time frame.

  • After payment, the lot can be collected or shipped.

A lot is a group of goods offered for sale. Each lot includes a detailed description and photos.

Note: all lots are sold in their current condition. Wear, damage, or other defects may be present.

Account Functions

With the “Favorites” feature, you can follow lots. These will appear in your favorites list, where you can easily view them and place bids on them.

When the auction has closed, the lots have not yet been finally assigned. The highest bidder is considered the provisional winner. Please wait for further instructions from the auction organizer.

Allocations are the final assignment of lots to the highest bidders. After allocation, you will receive a message and you can view your pro forma invoice and payment instructions

Auction Information

For each auction, specific viewing days are organized. You can find the dates and locations on the auction page. Use this opportunity to inspect the lots.

Note: lots are sold in the condition they are in. By placing a bid, you accept the current condition of the lot.

Each auction has a set closing date and time. Not all lots end at the same moment. If a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes, the auction is automatically extended by 5 minutes (right of higher bid).

  • Log in to your account.

  • Follow your favorite lots via Favorites.

  • After the auction, you’ll find your lots under Closed bids.

  • After allocation, you’ll see the final assigned lots under Allocations, including payment details.

After allocation you will receive an allocation email. Payment must be completed within 24 hours via bank transfer or on-site (debit card or cash).

Lots can only be collected on the designated pickup days, after presenting your proof of payment and pro forma invoice. If you don’t show up, additional costs may be charged. The buyer is responsible for dismantling, transport, and packaging materials.

  1. Log in and click Bid on the desired lot.

  2. Enter your bid and confirm. The system automatically calculates additional costs such as buyer’s premium and VAT.

Ways to bid:

  • Quick bid: place a manual bid.

  • Auto bid: set a maximum bid; the system will automatically bid for you until the maximum is reached.

If two auto bids are equal, the earliest auto bid has priority. A confirmed bid cannot be cancelled.

Auction rules and technical aspects

Each auction has a fixed start and end time. Some auctions use a soft close, which means the end time is automatically extended if there are last-minute bids.
